Custom software for Canada’s clean technology innovators
TestLauncher works with Canadian clean technology companies on specialized software for energy, resource efficiency, and environmental innovation. We bring development, consulting, and quality expertise to the technical challenge.
The challenges behind the innovation
From pilot to operation
Translate prototype assumptions into software requirements for a larger, longer-running deployment.
Connected physical systems
Work through device interfaces, intermittent connectivity, and the behaviour of equipment in the field.
Reliable measurements
Define how operational data is collected, checked, and made useful for decisions.
Technology and expertise for your next step
We scope custom systems, development, consulting, and managed testing around the problem you need to solve. The examples below are starting points for that conversation.
Custom platforms & systems
Explore custom platforms and operating-system requirements for monitoring, equipment integration, and operational workflows.
Development & consulting
Build prototypes and integrations that connect your clean technology to the people and systems operating it.
Managed testing & bugAgent
Investigate data handling, recovery paths, and application behaviour through managed testing, with bugAgent where appropriate.
Turning pilot telemetry into an operational view
Imagine a clean technology team moving an energy or resource-efficiency pilot across several sites. It needs to compare device readings, configuration changes and operating conditions without treating incomplete telemetry as a measured environmental outcome.
Technical decision criteria
- Which readings have known units, calibration context and collection intervals?
- What can operate locally when connectivity is unavailable?
- How will missing data and baseline assumptions be exposed to the people interpreting results?
Proposed deliverables
- A telemetry model documenting units, provenance and data-quality flags.
- A scoped device-to-platform integration and operational dashboard prototype.
- An evaluation plan separating software behaviour from independently validated environmental outcomes.
This hypothetical example illustrates how an engagement could be scoped. It does not describe completed client work or verified results. Deliverables, acceptance criteria and responsibilities would be agreed during discovery; they are not a fixed package or a guarantee of certification, compliance or operational outcomes.
Ownership, hosting, and data residency.
We are Canadian-owned. Hosting and data residency are defined for each offering and engagement. We work through infrastructure, integration, and data requirements during discovery. See our Security & Trust page for current deployments and planned options. Our primary focus is Canadian innovators; international organizations seeking Canadian technology and expertise are also welcome.
What’s available and what’s developing.
Custom development, operating-system and platform engagements, managed testing, and consulting are available separately from our product roadmap.
bugAgent
Our only fully ready platform, available for software testing and quality. We assess its fit for the application and interfaces in your engagement.
Explore bugAgent →Manual Testing
Established managed testing services and quality consultancy, active for over 10 years. Available today with expert human testers, AI-assisted testing, and automation. manualTesting is a service, not a software product.
Explore Manual Testing services →Conversational testing
bugAgent’s conversational capabilities are in active development; not yet released. They are not part of the available platform today.
The wider portfolio
Launch App, qualThread, ARC, OQA are in development and not yet released.
Canadian operating system & sovereign email
Both initiatives are in R&D and are not released products. They are distinct from custom engineering engagements scoped around your requirements.
